On Thursday 19 March, Cambridge Film Projects will be at Ely Cathedral for the launch of Jeremy Paxman’s new book, The Victorians: Britain Through the Paintings of the Age. We’ll be providing the equipment and expertise to project many of the illustrations featured in the art history volume against the stunning backdrop of the church.

Offering his personal view on this influential period in British history, Paxman will use  paintings of the era to explore themes of family, urban life, industry, empire and imagination.

The event will start at 7 for 7.30pm.  It is organised by Topping & Company Booksellers and there are still a number of early booking tickets (£7) available directly from the bookshop in Ely.  Tickets posted or collected on the door cost £10 (with a £10 discount on the book).
